Why split PDFs offline
Extracting pages usually means you only want to share part of a document — one page of a bank statement, a single signed page of a contract, a chapter from a report. The whole point is that the rest should stay private. Uploading the complete file to a server to achieve that is backwards. This page reads the PDF into your browser's memory, writes out only the pages you asked for, and never transmits anything.
Frequently asked questions
Is my PDF uploaded?
No. Everything happens in your browser. You can disconnect from the internet after the page loads and it still works.
How do I write the page range?
1-3,7 gives you pages 1, 2, 3 and 7. 5- means page 5 through the end. Spaces are ignored.
How many files do I get when splitting every page?
One per page. Your browser may ask permission to download multiple files — choose Allow. For very long documents, extracting ranges in batches is more manageable.
Can it open password-protected PDFs?
No. Remove the password first, then split.
Does it modify my original file?
Never. The original is left untouched and a new file is created.
